About Me

I don't remember how far back I was aware of my special

connection with animals, but scanning my life it seems to

have been part of me always. Ten years ago I discovered a

latent artistic talent and began channeling that into

commissioned pet portraits. Over and over again pet owners

were awed by how well I captured the spirit of their animals,

when I was working only from a photo. My secret was that I

always felt the animal's presence hovering just above my

shoulders while I worked, almost as if they were guiding me.

From this experience I became fascinated with the idea of

actually talking to animals on a more conscious level. When

I learned that internationally known animal communicator,

Dr. Jeri Ryan, of Assisi International Animal Institute, was

coming to Seattle to hold a three-day intensive course, I

jumped at the chance to learn from her. The experience was

life-changing.

I am convinced all people are capable of communicating

telepathically with their animals, but most of us don't learn

how to quiet our minds enough to listen. For me it was one

of the most joyful things I had ever done. In the training we

were all asked to bring photos of our pets so that we could

"read" each other's pets. We were not allowed to give any

information about our pets, so that all information received

by the communicator could be verified as coming only from

the animal.

I have continued to work this way with clients, asking only

for the bare essentials when working with problem behaviors

or other concerns, so that the animals can provide the details.

This is the only way the owner can be assured the information

is coming from their pet and not just me feeding back to them

what they have told me. Nothing is more fun than to have a pet

reveal some detail of its life that I couldn't have known and have

the owner verify it. That is the kind of information that validates

the communication and reassures owners that the less verifiable

information is credible too.

Immediately after completing my training I wanted to build my

new mental muscles with experience. I had been an active volun-

teer with Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue for many years, and that

wonderful group of dedicated dog lovers became my proving

ground. I offered my services free for the first six months to

anyone involved in rescue or who had adopted a rescue dog.

In the next phase of my development, I asked for donations to

rescue in exchange for a reading. These strategies allowed me to

gain a lot of experience quickly.

Since I began formal animal communication in 2002 I have talked

with hundreds of animals all over the United States and as far away

as Brazil. I continue to keep my price much lower than the going

rate, because I want this wonderful tool accessible to as many

people as possible. All of my earnings from animal communication

are used to support rescue and animal sanctuaries.
